Youth Employment Service (YES) X50 Opportunity at Eskom Sunninghill, Midrand and Rosherville

Eskom is inviting applications for 50 Youth Employment Service (YES) opportunities within its Corporate Services business unit. The internship programme is aimed at young South Africans between the ages of 18 and 34 who have completed Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification and may also have post-matric certificates or programmes. The opportunities are based across Sunninghill, Midrand and Rosherville, with successful applicants potentially placed in Eskom Operations across different divisions after going through the recruitment process. The programme offers market-related remuneration and provides young people with an opportunity to gain workplace exposure within the electricity, energy and water supply sector. Applications for the Eskom YES X50 programme close on 22 September 2026.
The Youth Employment Service programme is intended to provide eligible young people with practical exposure to a professional working environment. Successful applicants may be placed in different Eskom Operations divisions depending on the outcome of the recruitment process and the organisation’s requirements. Participants will be expected to conduct themselves professionally and demonstrate integrity while maintaining a customer-focused approach in the workplace. The programme may provide valuable exposure for young people who are building their first work experience and want to understand how a large organisation operates. Applicants should carefully review the eligibility conditions because participation in the YES initiative is subject to specific requirements.
