The Permanent Part-timer will play an important role in helping customers find the right adidas products while contributing to the overall performance of the store. Candidates will be expected to greet customers, understand their needs and use appropriate selling techniques to maximise sales opportunities. This includes add-on selling and explaining technical product information that can help customers make informed purchasing decisions. The role also provides exposure to stock movement, merchandise displays, store systems and performance tools such as Power BI. adidas will also provide in-store and digital training to help employees strengthen their product knowledge and understanding of role best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the highest level of adidas service is provided to every customer.
• Greet customers and assist them in finding the right products for their needs.
• Act as a Greeter at the front door during busy trading periods when required.
• Complete regular sales transactions involving cash, credit, cheques and other accepted payment methods as needed.
• Support product ticketing activities and check paperwork against items received.
• Assist with the movement of products from the stockroom to the sales floor on a fill-in basis.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of merchandise displays.
• Follow display suggestions and schedules provided by the store management team.
• Develop proficiency in the point-of-sale system and maintain transaction integrity by following company policies and procedures.
• Use selling techniques such as add-on sales to improve salesmanship and support store and individual sales goals.
• Provide technical product information to customers where relevant.
• Maintain general housekeeping standards, including cleaning and keeping the store presentable.
• Safeguard adidas company assets and follow relevant protection procedures.
• Support loss prevention by monitoring the sales floor and reporting suspicious activity.
• Follow security procedures and SLAP requirements.
• Participate in in-store and digital training programmes, including Atticus and AREA.
• Build and maintain strong product knowledge and understanding of role best practices.
• Familiarise yourself with Power BI tools to better understand store performance, best sellers and black hole products.
• Adapt to changing store requirements and assist colleagues and management with other duties as required.
• Contribute positively to a team environment focused on achieving strong customer and sales results.

Requirements and Skills

• A Matric certificate is required.
• Applicants should have between 0 and 1 year of retail experience.
• Previous fashion retail experience will be highly regarded but is not essential.
