Key Responsibilities

• Deliver an excellent standard of adidas customer service by providing friendly, helpful and professional assistance to every customer.
• Greet customers as they enter the store and help them find suitable products based on their needs, preferences and desired style.
• Assist customers with product information and explain technical product features to support informed purchasing decisions.
• Use effective selling techniques, including add-on sales, to improve the customer experience and work towards store and individual sales goals.
• Process sales transactions involving cash, credit cards, cheques and other accepted payment methods when required.
• Develop proficiency in using the point-of-sale system and follow the relevant policies and procedures when processing transactions.
• Assist with ticketing products and checking paperwork against stock received.
• Support the movement of merchandise from the stockroom to the sales floor to maintain product availability.
• Help organise and maintain merchandise displays according to store management instructions, recommendations and schedules.
• Maintain general housekeeping standards, including cleaning the store and keeping the sales floor neat and presentable.
• Assist with the safekeeping of company assets and follow procedures designed to protect stock and other store property.
• Monitor the sales floor for suspicious activities, report concerns and follow the prescribed security procedures and SLAP requirements.
• Support loss prevention efforts by handling merchandise responsibly and adhering to store security policies.
• Participate in company-provided in-store and digital training, including Atticus and AREA, to improve product knowledge and understand role best practices.
• Keep up to date with adidas products, features and ranges to provide accurate and helpful customer information.
• Become familiar with Power BI tools to gain a better understanding of store performance, best-selling products and blackhole product information.
• Assist the store management team with day-to-day store maintenance and other operational duties as required.
• Adapt to changing customer volumes and operational priorities while contributing to a positive team environment.

Requirements and Skills

• Matric certificate.
• Between zero and one year of retail experience.
• Previous fashion retail experience will be highly regarded but is not essential.
• Genuine passion for retail, fashion, sportswear and customer service.
• Strong customer service skills and a willingness to help customers find the right products.
