Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the highest level of adidas service is provided to every customer.
• Greet customers in the store and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.
• Act as a Greeter at the front door during busy workdays when required.
• Complete regular sales transactions involving cash, credit, cheques and other accepted payment methods when necessary.
• Support product ticketing activities and check relevant paperwork against items received.
• Assist with the flow of products from the stockroom to the sales floor on a fill-in basis.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of merchandise displays.
• Follow display suggestions or schedules provided by the store management team.
• Develop proficiency in the point-of-sale system and use it correctly.
• Maintain transaction integrity through careful attention to adidas policies and procedures.
• Use selling techniques such as add-on sales to enhance salesmanship and support store and individual sales goals.
• Explain technical product information to customers to improve the shopping experience and support sales.
• Maintain general housekeeping standards, including cleaning the store.
• Safeguard company assets and follow relevant asset protection procedures.
• Support loss prevention by monitoring the sales floor and reporting suspicious activity.
• Follow security procedures and SLAP requirements.
• Participate in in-store and digital training, including programmes such as Atticus and AREA.
• Develop product knowledge and maintain an understanding of role best practices.
• Familiarise yourself with Power BI tools to gain insight into store performance, best-selling products and black hole products.
• Adapt to changing store needs and assist management and colleagues with other duties when required.

Requirements and Skills

• A Matric certificate is required.
• Applicants should have between 0 and 1 year of retail experience.
• Previous fashion retail experience will be highly regarded but is not essential.
