Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently execute all operational activities at the point of sale in a timely and professional manner.
• Accurately scan merchandise and process customer purchases.
• Collect payments for goods purchased and action Clicks ClubCard rewards correctly.
• Handle cash safely and responsibly at all times.
• Proactively promote the Clicks ClubCard and assist with enrolling new ClubCard members.
• Support ClubCard participation targets through effective customer engagement.
• Inform customers about current promotions and offers to support sales and help customers feel good and pay less.
• Deliver superior customer service by acting as a professional Clicks brand ambassador.
• Remain visible, approachable and friendly when assisting customers.
• Execute and maintain merchandising activities according to store and visual merchandising standards.
• Complete general housekeeping duties and help keep the store clean, organised and customer ready.

Requirements and Skills

• Grade 12 is an essential minimum educational requirement.
• Maths at 50% at Grade 12 level is desirable.
• English at 50% at Grade 12 level is desirable.
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role within a retail or FMCG store operations environment is desirable.
• Basic maths calculation skills are important for accurate transactions and cash handling.
• Knowledge of retail or FMCG operations is advantageous.
• An understanding of merchandising and promotions principles will be beneficial.
