GSA CAMPBELL CONSULTING:Junior-Mid Executive Assistant Opportunity

Small corporate consulting firm based in the southern suburbs seeks an executive assistant to handle project management and various other tasks for the company and for the director.

Tasks and functions

  • Managing the online workflow system (projects)
  • General administration, filing and system back-ups
  • Accounts and invoicing (online accounting package)
  • Payment reminders and collections
  • Travel arrangements and diary management
  • Meeting minutes and proposal preparation
  • Website updates

Skills essential

  • Good English communication skills
  • Good with Microsoft MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent with MS Word
  • Good typing speed and accuracy

Skills advantageous

  • Basic knowledge of WordPress
  • Basic knowledge of accounting systems
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe
  • Basic knowledge of Html

Traits required

  • Confidence – for dealings with clients and consultants
  • Good organisational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to learn quickly – particularly where systems are concerned

Experience

At least three years’ experience in a position that has required the skills mentioned above

Training

It is expected that the successful applicant (the employee) will not require training for skills mentioned as essential, however some training may be provided for these skills if in general the employee remains suitably qualified for the advertised position.

Additional training will be provided for skills described as advantageous above, and for all systems that the company makes use of.

Remuneration

Depending on the skills and experience of the successful applicant, the initial salary for this position will be negotiated between R5,000 and R7,000 per month.

Salary reviews and project bonuses will be considered if and when the successful applicant has mastered all the essential and advantageous functions and skills mentioned above.

Employment contract

The successful applicant will sign an initial three month employment contract which will be reviewed after two months. The contract will be converted to a permanent employment contract on the same terms provided that the parties are in agreement at the time.

Opportunities for advancement

There will be various meaningful opportunities for advancement in the company. The successful candidate may even be developed as the Regional General Manager in due course, if he/she shows promise.
