| Experience | Relevant plant experience in Fertilizer would be advantageous. Previous experience in managing a Bulk Bag Production facility will be an advantage 2-3years` experience in Production/Logistics environment Computer Literacy – Must be able to operate the FOS computer system, Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook Technical thinking ability Peoples management skills Computer Literacy Strong admin skills Knowledge in a Safety, Health Environment Problem solving Knowledge in a Safety, Health Environment. |
| Duties | The Process Leader will be responsible for a variety of steps, utilizing different equipment. Must ensure safety and cleanliness in the workplace (this is extremely important). The Process Leader is expected to meet production quotas. Clean and/or disassemble packaging line and equipment’s after the completion of packaging process as per SOP. Clean manufacturing room after the completion of product run as per SOP. Set up packaging line and equipment’s, including start-up of batch and obtaining all packaging specifications. Maintain packaging line and equipment’s in good working order, inspect packaging line and equipment’s for wear, and have any worn or malfunctioning parts evaluated and reported to Production Supervisor or Manager. Maintain tools and supplies in proper condition. Make any machine adjustments necessary during the packaging run as required. Document all set up and cleaning in the log book and other pertinent paperwork. Visually inspect the equipment’s as it is running to verify the equipment’s is running within normal and safe operation. Perform in process checks during packaging process and document in Packaging Batch Record as per instruction of packaging batch record. Make sure all paperwork is complete and accurate throughout and after run. Perform any and all additional tasks relating to the operation of the packaging/production department as requested. Follow company policies and Standard Operating Procedures. The purpose of the job is to supervise subordinates and will be able to receive and load trucks within the specified parameters |
| Job Competencies | The incumbent should be able to: Draw packaging material from bag store. Issue written and verbal instructions to subordinates. Be able to manage and control documentation in the plant. Staff supervision Ensure a safe work environment for employees. Perform problem solving for the plant. Perform inspections of plants and equipment to ensure that preventative maintenance is conducted and production time maximised. Manage loading and receiving goods from trucks. Be able to do admin work e.g. Leave etc. Record daily production. Issue clearance certificate to maintenance. Be able to work shifts. Supervision of shifts. Safety, Health and environments.
