TheSouthAfrican.com is looking for a staff writer with the ability to efficiently write and format share-friendly, web-savvy content targeted at South Africans both in South Africa and overseas.

TheSouthAfrican.com has been running for over 12 years. We provide news, events, sport, entertainment, community, travel and business content for globally-minded South Africans. Online we reach approximately 800,000+ South Africans each month. Our offices are in Claremont, Cape Town.
Requirements
– A qualification in Journalism or Media Studies
– Must love digital, be in tune with what’s trending as well as active on social media
– Experience in a blogging and/or an online content role
– WordPress skills essential
– Experience working with social media and SEO strategies
– Must be quick on his/her feet with a real talent for generating engaging content
– Must be comfortable with writing on all the topics we cover
– Highly organised and thorough
– The ideal candidate would have had some experience living overseas.
Responsibilities:
– Write, edit, sub and share three to five articles a day
– Keep a sharp eye on performance, social media strategies, and audience growth and engagement
