Safomar Industrial Brands and Pical are looking for a creditors administrator who will be responsible for the creditors book, the CTC package is between R10,000 to about R12,000. Up to two to three years’ experience required. The candidate must be able to fully provide a finance function that includes matching and batching of creditors’ invoices, processing of supplier journals, clearing any queries on the accounts and reconciliations of creditors’ monthly statements in a timely manner. Processing monthly payments as well as daily cash payments that are required. The candidate is required to process the cashbook up to and including trial balance and has worked with group accounts.  Experience with pastel and excel is a must. Alternative duties, assignments, and projects may be afforded to the employee and the job profile may be amended from time to time as may be required by the company.  

Responsibilities:

  • Perform day to day management of all payment cycle activities and provide efficient client service
  • Keep track, process and reconcile payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, statements, checks, refund requisitions, etc., in compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Ensure correct approval, sorting, coding, and matching of invoices/receipts
  • Liaise with internal and external clients
  • Regularly tabulate data and compile necessary reports
  • Continuously improve payment processes
  • Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status
  • Assist the department to make sure that controls are in place and filing is kept in line with procedures
  • Process cashbook transactions and journals
  • Process accounts to trail balance

Requirements:

  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
  • Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software (Pastel evolution)  
  • Proficiency in English and in MS Office
  • Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Deadline driven
  • Creative and able to think out the box
  • Organised and results-driven
  • Able to formulate plans and action them
  • SA citizenship or SA permanent residency essential
