Responsibilities:
Your duties would include but would not be limited to:
- Employment of staff
- General running of the Cape Town Interslab branch
- Sales and customer service
- Preparing annual budgets
- Client liaison
- Money collection and banking
- Stock control
- Customer credit control in consultation with the Financial Manager
- Business development
- Ensuring the company vehicles are correctly maintained in accordance with the specifications of the respective vehicle manufacturers, ensuring that they are roadworthy at all times
- Staff discipline management
- Implementation and management of the company’s safety policy
- Any other requests that may be made by the Directors and Senior Management
Work hours:
Your work hours will be determined to a large extent by the operations of the business. Your normal working hours will be:
- Monday to Thursday: 08:00 to 17:00
- Friday: 08:00 to 16:30
- Every second Saturday: 09:00 to 13:00 (The sales office needs to be staffed by at least 2 people from 09h00 to 13h00 on Saturdays)
Requirements
- Fully computer literate
- Valid driver license
- A flexible approach to work and the ability to work well within a team
- Very well organised and energetic
- Willing to take on a physically demanding role
- Ability to follow health and safety practices
- Previous experience of working in a managerial environment (advantageous)
