Bidvest Facilities Management is now accepting applications for a Data Capture position based in Middelburg, Mpumalanga. This is a permanent role within the BFM Operations 2 division, ideal for candidates with experience in financial data capturing and a passion for accuracy and efficiency. Role Purpose

The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the accurate capturing of financial data, processing invoices and reconciliations, and following up on outstanding invoices. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the company’s financial operations and maintaining positive relationships with both suppliers and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verifying that invoices are valid tax invoices
  • Accurately capturing financial data based on invoices received from suppliers
  • Ensuring that invoice details match purchase order details
  • Following up on outstanding invoices by contacting suppliers via telephone or email
  • Addressing client and supplier queries efficiently
  • Building strong working relationships with suppliers and clients
  • Timely filing of documents and saving them online in SharePoint folders
  • Reviewing captured invoice information for accuracy
  • Taking remedial steps to clear items older than 30 days on the GRIR report
  • Updating the exception report on a daily basis
  • Supporting audit processes and requirements
  • Assisting the Creditors Manager with various financial tasks

Qualifications and Requirements

Candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Currently studying towards a formal qualification in Finance
  • Valid Code 08 Driver’s License
  • 1-3 years of data capturing experience
  • Knowledge of GRIR
  • Solid understanding of accounting practices
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel and MS Outlook
  • Knowledge of SAP systems
  • Relevant on-site training such as SOP training, HIRA, Strata Control, and Fatigue Management
