As a Health Merchandiser, you’ll play a key role in maintaining Dis-Chem’s merchandising standards, ensuring that shelves are fully stocked, neatly presented, and aligned with the company’s commitment to excellent customer service. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for organisation, health products, and customer interaction.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric (Essential)
- Up to 6 months’ retail experience
- Computer literate (MS Office)
- Willing and able to work retail hours
Advantageous:
- Diploma or degree in a Health Focus category
- At least 1 year of retail experience
Key Responsibilities
- Replenish and rotate stock according to business needs
- Ensure all products are placed correctly on shelves with the right labels and pricing
- Maintain merchandising displays and ensure store areas are tidy and organised
- Conduct regular stocktakes and back shopping
- Handle customer stock queries with efficiency and professionalism
- Ensure First In First Out (FIFO) stock rotation practices
- Take responsibility for designated stock in both the storeroom and on the shop floor
Required Competencies
Essential:
- Good command of the English language
- Presentable, trustworthy, and honest
- Strong time management skills
- Able to effectively engage with customers, staff, and management
Advantageous:
- Bilingual
- Understanding of merchandising standards and the FMCG industry
- Familiarity with SAP, Unisolv, and ZMORE reports
- Knowledge of products and categories within the health sector
