Clerk Butchery Admin Role Available at Pick n Pay Kenilworth, Cape Town

Pick n Pay is hiring a full-time Clerk Butchery Admin based in Kenilworth, Cape Town. This position supports the butchery departments across Pick n Pay stores by managing inventory, administration, compliance, and team support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain records of meat inventory, sales, and supplier transactions
- Generate and distribute reports on sales and operational metrics
- Process orders, invoices, and payments for meat products
- Monitor stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking
- Coordinate with suppliers and store teams to ensure timely restocking
- Ensure health, safety, and hygiene compliance in butchery departments
- Conduct audits and monitor company policy adherence
- Serve as a contact point for butchery staff, providing guidance and support
- Assist with training store clerks on best practices and equipment use
- Handle escalated customer concerns related to butchery products
- Communicate updates on promotions, pricing, and new products
- Analyze sales data to identify trends and support growth
- Collaborate with procurement to manage supplier relationships and contracts
- Support promotional events and new store setups focusing on butchery
Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12) required
- Relevant diploma or certification in administration, supply chain, or food safety is an advantage
- Proactive with problem-solving skills
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Understanding of the butchery retail environment and customer preferences
