Pick n Pay is hiring a full-time Clerk Butchery Admin based in Kenilworth, Cape Town. This position supports the butchery departments across Pick n Pay stores by managing inventory, administration, compliance, and team support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain records of meat inventory, sales, and supplier transactions
  • Generate and distribute reports on sales and operational metrics
  • Process orders, invoices, and payments for meat products
  • Monitor stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking
  • Coordinate with suppliers and store teams to ensure timely restocking
  • Ensure health, safety, and hygiene compliance in butchery departments
  • Conduct audits and monitor company policy adherence
  • Serve as a contact point for butchery staff, providing guidance and support
  • Assist with training store clerks on best practices and equipment use
  • Handle escalated customer concerns related to butchery products
  • Communicate updates on promotions, pricing, and new products
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and support growth
  • Collaborate with procurement to manage supplier relationships and contracts
  • Support promotional events and new store setups focusing on butchery

Requirements:

  • Matric (Grade 12) required
  • Relevant diploma or certification in administration, supply chain, or food safety is an advantage
  • Proactive with problem-solving skills
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Understanding of the butchery retail environment and customer preferences
