Dis-Chem Pharmacies is a leading retail pharmacy chain in South Africa. The Sandown Crossing store in Parklands is seeking a Health Merchandiser to specialise in vitamins and supplements. This role focuses on driving sales while delivering excellent customer service.

Job Purpose
The Health Merchandiser will promote and sell Dis-Chem Health Focus products. The role ensures that merchandise is well-stocked, displays are attractive, and customers receive professional guidance and assistance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist and advise customers, ensuring high levels of customer care and service.
• Maintain merchandise displays in the health focus area, keeping products stocked and faced up.
• Implement promotional displays and merchandising materials.
• Report price discrepancies to management promptly.
• Adhere to store layouts within the Health Department.
• Monitor stock levels and follow administrative processes including weekly returns.
• Achieve monthly team, brand, and vendor sales targets.
• Stay updated on new products and product lines.
• Assist with back shopping and general department operations as requested.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Minimum six months’ sales experience in a vitamins or health-related environment.
• Strong command of the English language.
• Computer literate with MS Office skills.
• Sound numerical ability.
• Willing and able to work retail hours.

Advantageous Qualifications and Experience

• BSc Biomedicine or BSc Biotechnology, or relevant health-focused qualification.
• Retail sales experience.
• Experience in vitamins, supplements, or health foods.
• Fluency in a second local language.
