Job Summary
As a Clerk (Receiving), you will handle the receiving of goods, maintain inventory accuracy, and support warehouse administration. Your responsibilities include checking and labelling stock, managing claims, assisting with stock takes, and ensuring timely ordering of goods.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform administrative tasks to support warehouse operations
- Receive and inspect incoming goods for quality and accuracy
- Label stock for proper identification and tracking
- Manage claims and coordinate repairs for damaged or incorrect items
- Assist with regular and ad-hoc stock takes to maintain inventory accuracy
- Place orders to ensure stock availability
- Support banking activities and handle petty cash
- Facilitate branch stock transfers, both incoming and outgoing
- Compile and maintain reports related to stock and operations
- Monitor and resolve negative stock balance issues
- Assist with job card processing and related documentation
- Process EFTs and ensure proper financial documentation
Qualifications and Skills
- Matric / Grade 12
- Computer literacy
- Self-motivated and able to work under pressure
- Honest and reliable
