Job Overview
Sea Harvest is hiring a Driver within its Procurement department based at South Arm Road, V&A Waterfront. The role focuses on the safe and timely collection and delivery of goods, materials and documents. You will support procurement operations by ensuring supplies move efficiently between suppliers, warehouses and internal teams. This position requires reliability, strong attention to detail and safe driving practices. You will report directly to the Buyer and play a key role in keeping supply chain operations on track.

Role Summary
As a Driver in the Procurement department, you will manage the transport of goods and documents between suppliers, warehouses and internal sites. You will ensure all deliveries are completed on time and in line with procurement requirements. You will also assist with basic loading, unloading and verification of goods. The role requires discipline, punctuality and strict compliance with road safety rules.

Key Responsibilities

Collection and Delivery of Goods

• Collect goods, materials and documents from suppliers and vendors
• Deliver items to warehouses, stores and project sites on time
• Follow assigned procurement schedules and delivery routes
• Ensure secure handling of all transported items

Documentation and Verification

• Check delivery notes, invoices and purchase orders during collection
• Confirm accuracy of goods before transporting
• Maintain proper delivery records for all trips

Vehicle Management

• Conduct daily vehicle inspections before use
• Report faults or maintenance needs immediately
• Ensure the vehicle remains clean and roadworthy
• Follow all traffic laws and company driving policies

Loading and Support Duties

• Assist with loading and unloading goods safely
• Support stores and inventory teams when required
• Handle goods with care to prevent damage or loss

Compliance and Security

• Maintain confidentiality of transported documents and goods
• Follow all procurement and company procedures
• Ensure safe and secure transport of all items

Minimum Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 / Matric is essential

Licensing

• Valid Code 8 or Code 10 driver’s license
• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP) is required

Experience

• Previous driving experience in a commercial or logistics environment is an advantage
• Experience in FMCG or procurement-related transport is beneficial
