Job Overview And Role Purpose

Key Responsibilities And Duties

• Greet customers and provide assistance with product location and information
• Operate checkout processes and handle customer transactions where required
• Stock shelves and ensure products are correctly displayed and rotated
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of store and back of house areas
• Follow standard operating procedures for all retail tasks
• Monitor product quality and remove expired or damaged stock
• Maintain cold chain standards for perishable products where applicable
• Support merchandising and promotional displays in store
• Assist in bakery, butchery, deli, fruit and veg, or cheese service areas
• Support production tasks and food preparation where required
• Assist with stock receiving, packing and warehouse organisation
• Follow security procedures and report suspicious activity
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve basic queries
• Maintain accurate pricing and correct product labelling
• Minimise waste, shrinkage and stock loss

Requirements And Skills

• Grade 12 required
• Ability to work retail hours including weekends and public holidays
• Strong communication skills in English
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment
• Physically fit for shelfpacking and stock handling duties
• Strong customer service orientation
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Attention to detail in merchandising and stock handling
• Self motivated and willing to learn
