A dynamic business to business media company is looking for a mid-level designer to work on magazines and other print products.
You must be prepared to work outside of traditional hours. You should have an unwavering commitment to the job, and be able to work under pressure and deliver.

Company Description
Dynamic business-to-business media company involved with print, online and events.
Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
- Web design advantageous
- Design and layout of magazines
- Design of print and online adverts, marketing material, brochures, events material, etc. (anything requiring design work) as and when required
- Liaising with editors, journalists, sub-editors, and account executives to ensure the best final product.
- Liaising with the production department to check quality of advertising material and ensure that the placement of material is correct.
- Preparing of pdf files for printer, and liaising with printer about any technical data necessary to ensure a smooth process and quality product.
- Managing and mentoring a junior designer
Secondary tasks
- To ensure always the highest quality of layout and design for all publications, which requires investigation into layout and design trends.
- To liaise with the editorial department about its needs with regard to the design and layout of editorial pages.
- To consider feedback from readers and advertisers in order to ensure the design and layout of the magazines is relevant to their needs.
- To keep abreast of all industry related software and hardware developments
- To source or create visuals for the publications.
- To assist marketing and online departments in supplying of design elements and/or adherence to company branding.
