LIMA BEAN : Senior Digital Strategist

Lima Bean is a fast growing digital agency. The agency is looking for a senior digital strategist that will be responsible for conceptualising, creating and overseeing the implementation of digital strategies for new and existing clients. The candidate will also be the first point of contact for potential new clients and will be expected to proactively engage in business development. The candidate should have outstanding knowledge of the digital space and should be highly creative yet pragmatic. The candidate should ideally have a strong network consisting of influential business leaders.

Purpose

The candidate will be the first point of contact for potential clients. The candidate will hold the initial meeting with the potential client and will develop a high level strategy and plan and present that in the form of a proposal. Once proposals are accepted, the candidate is to flesh out the strategy and plan before handing the project over to the production team. The candidate will remain the escalation point for the client. The candidate is to remain highly involved with existing clients and must gain a deep insight into the client’s business in order to develop campaigns and plans that help the client achieve their goals. The candidate will be expected to proactively engage in business development efforts in order to obtain new clients and upsell to existing clients.

Immediate roles and responsibilities

–          Be the first point of contact for new leads

–          Be proactively involved in business development

–          Create proposals (including working out the budget with the production team)

–          Spot opportunities and stay on top of trends

–          Develop campaigns and plans and present those to existing clients

–          Maintain excellent relationships with existing clients

–          Ensure that what is produced is in line with the initial vision

Requirements

Essential

–          Relevant diploma or degree

–          Minimum three years’ experience in a similar position

–          A strong understanding of the entire digital spectrum, including:

o   Online marketing: SEO/PPC/content marketing/social media marketing

o   Ability to judge wireframes and design

o   Development technologies

o   CRM

o   Analytics

Advantageous

–          Background as a business analyst

–          Development experience

–          Digital design experience

–          Experience in the advertising industry
