FLYING CIRCUS:Junior Compositor Opportunity
To meet facility and client compositing or VFX requirements by formulating creative ideas and concepts for ads, promos, TV series, feature films, presentations, video content as required.
• To meet facility and client compositing and VFX requirements through the formulation and submission of both storyboards and previz to the client and the project lead for review and approval as required.
• To ensure that all composites produced is error-free both technically and visually and continuity and direction is correct by checking output versus brief before submission to senior artists or management or client for approval as required.
• To source appropriate video or image content by searching through both internal and external libraries, source content from client and communicating the choice made to traffic or producer or project lead as required for booking/purchase.
• To ensure that the composites are in line with project brief requirements by doing pre-production with traffic or producer or project lead as required.
• To ensure that the final product adheres to specifications of required deliverables and as needed as per local and international broadcast standards.

Flying Circus is a post production facility, based in Johannesburg, with a focus on motion capture animation. Our content is contemporary and caters to an international audience.
Requirements
Minimum of two years solid work experience as a compositing artist in a high-end post-production studio environment.

• Excellent understanding of 3D compositing space.
• Basic knowledge of layering and compositing processes and techniques.
• Ability to do paint fixes, rotoscoping and seamless image replacements.
• Good understanding of Audio and Video formats as well as frame rates and video standards.
• Ability to prioritise multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Comfortable with node-based compositing.
• Foundary Nuke/Nuke X
• AutoDesk Smoke for Mac
• Adobe After Effects
• Adobe Photoshop
• PFDepth/PF Track
• Illustrator or Freehand
Advantageous
• Post-production facility/studio experience preferable.
• Film or high-end commercial environment experience desirable.
