This role will require a combination of technical expertise and out-of-the-box thinking. The role provides exposure to senior management and key individuals. This is a demanding and rewarding role that will require the candidate to be innovative, dedicated and detail-oriented in order to improve and establish the required actuarial models.

Responsibilities:
1. Ensure all actuarial processes are performed as effectively as possible.
2. Embedded value calculations and modelling.
3. Expense analysis.
4. Persistency analysis.
5. Cash flow and related projections.
6. Data checking to ensure quality of data.
7. Investigations into profitability of new business.
8. Perform experience investigations to confirm the bases underlying valuations.
9. Ad hoc actuarial tasks.
Requirements
1. Completed university degree.
2. Qualified actuary or actuarial student with evidence of good progress through professional exams.
3. The successful candidate must have strong technical experience in actuarial techniques, calculations and principles.
4. Ability to conduct financial analysis, compile reports and provide adequate interpretation of the results.
5. Three to five years of work experience in an actuarial environment.
6. Strong programming and query writing skills.

Remuneration for this position will be negotiated based on the successful candidate’s experience. A three month probation period will apply.
