Job description
The retail advertising department has a vacancy for the above mentioned position, reporting into the retail sales manager. The incumbent will be responsible for the effective representation of the Pretoria News to direct retail clients within the Pretoria market.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that the sales process is followed through to print
- Ensuring that targets are met and exceeded
- Grow existing business by effectively identifying opportunities
- Have ability to do customer analysis and translate this into sales
- Have the ability and skills to write proposals to clients on all levels
Minimum requirements
- Minimum of four years advertising sales experience
- Minimum Matric/grade 12 qualification
- Sales or marketing qualification an advantage
- Market knowledge and insight a pre-requisite
- Strong customer service ability required
- Strong negotiation skills
- Must be able to establish and maintain business relationships
- Must have the skills to cold canvass
- Strong admin, planning and computer skills required
- Own transport, cell phone and drivers licence a must
- Incumbent must most importantly be target driven
