Vans, under Ares Holdings in Cape Town, is offering a 7-month Planning Internship in its retail supply chain division. This role provides practical experience in stock management, system integrations, and reporting within a fast-paced retail environment.
Job Description
The Planning Intern will support the team in ensuring accurate stock movements across stores and systems. Key responsibilities include:
Stores:
- Conduct stocktakes, check variances, and coordinate with store managers to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Ensure store orders are correctly completed and verified within store-specific systems.
- Assist area managers with inter-branch transfers to maintain accuracy.
System Integrations:
- Track all integrations related to stock movements between ERP, Cargowrite, and POS systems.
- Manage sales integrations from POS systems to the ERP system.
Reporting:
- Analyse potential problem stores and monitor stock accuracy.
- Investigate system issues causing discrepancies.
Qualifications and Skills
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Degree in Retail, Business, or a related field.
- Strategic thinking and the ability to articulate a clear vision and purpose.
