Quality Control Technologist Opportunity

The buying department has a position for a Quality Control Technologist. The individual must be a dynamic, hardworking team player with a high attention to detail who is able to work well in a pressurised team environment. The successful candidate will work across all our brands.

Key responsibilities:

Identify and highlight any potential quality issues with merchandise
Assess and communicate minimum garment measurements and fabric specification for development specs
Communicate with local and international suppliers on all quality expectations and on fit and QC of the style, including alterations to improve fit
Develop and improve existing base blocks and fits
Checking of shipment and bulk samples against approved fit
Communicate with DC QC team on shipment approvals and quality issues on delivery

Requirements

Inherent job requirements:

Relevant tertiary qualification in fashion/clothing would be an advantage
Minimum of three – five years’ experience in a buying department environment
Excellent administrative skills and high attention to detail
Ability to use initiative and perform under pressure
A valid driver’s license (advantage)
