Senior Software Engineer – PHP Opportunity

Our client, an African technology company is looking to employ a Senior Software
Engineer to be part of their fast paced, technology focussed team

  • As
    a senior software engineer, you’re expected to grow your understanding of our
    various platforms while building a payment service to seamlessly interact
    across the entire company platform.
  • You’ll
    also be expected to develop software according to functional and technical
    design specifications and maintain a “common sense” approach that serves to
    recognise potential design gaps and provide insight into closing them.
  • We expect that you’ll drive for efficient,
    scalable, reusable code in either PHP or Node.js.
  • You’ll also be responsible for utilizing tools
    and equipment involved in the performance of essential functions of
    programming, including measuring instruments.
  • Experience or at least a keen experience in
    mobile development (iOS, Android) is a welcome addition but not a core
    requirement
  • There
    will also be a fair amount of travel between Lagos and Cape Town – up to one
    week-long trip to Lagos per quarter.
  • Our
    desire is that as a senior developer for the company, you’ll relish the

  • The
    role includes being able to perform as an expert in at least one technology but
    welcomes expertise in as many technologies as possible and supports resources
    who are willing to switch between technologies, projects and teams at large.
