Job description

A leading creative agency in Lonehill is looking for a Managing Editor to manage editorial content for multiple lines of digital and web platforms. The candidate should be passionate about creating relevant and dynamic content that inspires and engages. They must have good leadership skills, be a good team player, while continually contributing to, reviewing, and optimising the work the team produces. This role involves working collaboratively with both the production team and content creators to deliver great creative content for web and digital channels.

Responsibilities:

• Managing editorial and production processes
• Ensure the effective management of high-quality production of content for multiple media platforms
• This includes both executing best quality content on your own as well as managing editorial content of your assigned creative team
• Managing a team of writers, designers and video editors
• Create content strategies and oversee implementation processes to prioritise content flow
• This position is the gatekeeper for quality; oversight of writing/editing copy, articles, social media posts, email marketing content, websites and more
• Supervising the content creation process from writing through editing and publishing
• Build a deep understanding of brand strategy for each of the company’s clients, applying it to everything you create and oversee

Requirements

• Experience in content production and managing editorial
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, including the ability to write for a variety of audiences and communications mediums to ensure the creative delivery presentations are best in class
• Solid understanding of project management principles
• Media relations experience, including writing press releases and statements and building media lists
