Position Purpose
Pick n Pay Woodmead is seeking a Bakers Assistant to support bakery operations. The role involves assisting the Baker in preparing, baking, and finishing bakery products according to recipe specifications, while maintaining high standards of hygiene and customer service.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the Baker in preparing and baking bakery products.
- Clean bakery-related equipment and utensils, ensuring hygiene standards are maintained.
- Maintain general housekeeping standards in line with Pick n Pay Food Safety Standards.
- Report defective machinery or utensils to the Manager.
- Provide general assistance in production tasks.
- Serve customers when required.
- Prepare and report wastage accurately.
- Clean the backup area.
- Execute reasonable assignments given by management.

- Conscientious and follows procedures accurately.
- Customer-focused with good interpersonal skills.
- Capable of handling routine work efficiently.
- Thorough and precise in task execution.
- Willingness to be multi-skilled and perform different jobs as required.
- Must reside close to Pick n Pay Woodmead Hyper.
