Purpose of the Role

The Storekeeper is responsible for receiving, storing, and picking vehicle parts accurately and efficiently. This role ensures that all parts are handled correctly, documented, and delivered to the appropriate personnel, supporting the smooth functioning of the parts department. Attention to detail, organization, and compliance with safety and company policies are critical.

Key Responsibilities

Storekeepers at Motus Toyota will be expected to:

• Receive, unpack, inspect, and store incoming stock in the correct bin location
• Verify that parts are free from damage and that part numbers and labels are accurate before binning
• Ensure all relevant documentation is submitted to the Admin department with required signatures
• Maintain accurate bin locations in line with Toyota specifications
• Pick parts according to computerized invoices and hand them to the authorized person
• Examine outgoing parts for damage before delivery
• Assist with perpetual and periodic stock counts
• Keep the warehouse clean and organized at all times
• Adhere to all safety and security policies set by the company
• Follow the dress code and maintain personal hygiene according to Toyota standards
• Be willing to work overtime during stocktaking periods
• Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 qualification
• Computer literacy is essential
• Clear criminal record
• Experience in warehouse operations or automotive parts preferred
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Ability to work according to Toyota standards and procedures
