Job description
The data cleansing analyst is responsible for setting up and ongoing maintenance of the respondent databases needed for the purpose of conducting market research.
Key performance areas:
Setting up and maintaining electronic submissions databases
Updating code lists related to these databases
Preparation and maintenance of a weekly log of non-submitting clients
Setting up and maintaining a log of all follow-ups completed for data which has not been submitted
Performing pre-defined queries in Microsoft Access and Microsoft SQL
Applying and testing changes to predefined queries in Microsoft Access and Microsoft SQL
Providing data quality and usability reports to Researchers and Client Services
Problem solving based on queries received from internal and external clients
New script generation/refining of existing scripts
Requirements
Matric
Tertiary qualification (diploma or degree) in any database language (ideally Microsoft SQL 2000 or higher).
Practical work in Microsoft Access/SQL 2000 or relational databases would be a definite advantage.
