About the Role

The Clerk Butchery Admin plays a vital part in ensuring seamless behind-the-scenes operations of the butchery section. This includes managing inventory providing administrative support maintaining compliance with food safety standards and assisting store teams with essential resources. It’s an ideal position for someone who enjoys a mix of coordination analysis and communication within a dynamic retail environment

What You’ll Need to Qualify

  • Matric Grade 12 is required
  • A diploma or equivalent qualification in administration supply chain or food safety is advantageous
  • Certifications in admin or butchery operations are a plus
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well with diverse teams
  • Understanding of butchery retail operations and customer expectations

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and organize butchery-related records including inventory sales data and supplier transactions
  • Process supplier orders invoices and payments
  • Generate performance reports and assist in planning volumes across store departments
  • Monitor stock levels to prevent over- or under-stocking
  • Ensure health and safety standards are upheld in all butchery departments
  • Liaise with suppliers and manage product deliveries
  • Provide administrative and training support to store-level butchery staff
  • Respond to customer feedback and provide solutions when required
  • Track trends using sales data and produce forecasts for future planning
  • Assist in store openings seasonal campaigns and promotional events
