Role Overview

The Finance Intern will support the finance team in reporting, analysis, budgeting, and other core finance functions. The role is designed to develop technical skills, financial understanding, and professional competencies in a real-world business setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable, as well as reconciliations.
• Collaborate with departments to understand cost drivers and financial performance.
• Participate in audits and ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Use financial software such as Excel, SAP, or Oracle to manage and analyze data.
• Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (minimum 2:1 or equivalent).
• Interest in pursuing professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CFA is advantageous.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• Basic understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
