About the Role
The Clerk Inventory is responsible for conducting organised stock counts at scheduled intervals while maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail. The role supports effective inventory management by identifying stock variances, capturing inventory data and assisting with administrative tasks related to stock control.
This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy structured work, can follow established procedures and have strong numerical skills.
What You Will Do
As a Clerk Inventory, your responsibilities will include:
• Conduct accurate and methodical stock counts according to scheduled inventory plans.
• Capture all stock count information accurately.
• Print and review stock variance reports.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and report findings.
• Prepare inventory documentation for the next day’s stock count.
• Maintain organised and accurate inventory records.
• Follow company stock counting procedures and processes.
• Assist the Invoice Clerk when required.
• Support efficient stock management within the store.
• Ensure inventory information remains accurate and up to date.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity, you should have:
• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Computer literacy will be advantageous.
