Shop Assistant / Cashier Opportunity at Clicks Komatipoort

Clicks Group is recruiting for 10 permanent Shop Assistant / Cashier positions at its Komatipoort store in Mpumalanga. Job Overview and Responsibilities

• Deliver efficient and friendly customer service at the point of sale.
• Accurately scan merchandise and process customer payments.
• Handle cash safely and follow all point of sale procedures.
• Promote the Clicks ClubCard programme and assist customers with new registrations.
• Inform customers about promotions, special offers and loyalty rewards.
• Maintain attractive merchandising displays according to store standards.
• Perform housekeeping duties to ensure the store remains clean and well organised.
• Assist with stock presentation and merchandising activities.
• Stay informed about products, promotions and store events.
• Provide accurate product information and assist customers with enquiries.
• Support the company’s customer-first approach by delivering professional service.
• Contribute to achieving store sales and customer service objectives.

Requirements and Skills

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Previous customer-facing retail or FMCG experience will be advantageous.
• Mathematics with at least 50% at Grade 12 level will be advantageous.
• English with at least 50% at Grade 12 level will be advantageous.
• Basic mathematical and numeracy skills.
• Knowledge of retail merchandising principles and stock management procedures.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Strong planning and organisational abilities.
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well with people and build positive customer relationships.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while following company procedures.
