Qualified Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant Opportunity at Clicks Waterfall Corner

Clicks Group is looking for a qualified Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant to join its team at Waterfall Corner in Midrand. This permanent position is suited to a pharmacy professional who can provide quality pharmaceutical care while supporting efficient dispensary operations. Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional pharmaceutical care and support customers with their medicine-related needs within the required scope of practice.
• Deliver high standards of customer service and care at all times.
• Assist customers with general health-related information where appropriate and within the scope of practice.
• Support the efficient operation and administration of the dispensary.
• Assist with the accurate compounding of medicines according to approved procedures and requirements.
• Assist with the repacking of medicines while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
• Manage and control dispensary stock according to company procedures.
• Assist with stock administration and ensure products are properly managed.
• Maintain accurate dispensary records and complete required administrative tasks.
• Ensure products are correctly displayed and merchandised according to company standards.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the dispensary and relevant areas.
• Apply knowledge of health and over-the-counter products when assisting customers.
• Follow Clicks Group Standard Operating Plans, policies and procedures.
• Maintain compliance with South African Pharmacy Council requirements and applicable legislation.
• Complete additional duties and operational tasks as required by management.
• Work effectively with pharmacists, pharmacy assistants and other store team members to support efficient service delivery.

Requirements and Skills

• Matric with Mathematics is essential.
• Meet the applicable Health Professions Council of South Africa requirements for the relevant pharmacist assistant category.
• Qualified or Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant status in line with the requirements of the role.
• Knowledge of health products and over-the-counter medicines.
• Knowledge of South African Pharmacy Council requirements and relevant pharmacy legislation.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• High level of integrity and professional conduct.
• Commitment to ethical working practices and compliance.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic numerical and calculation skills.
• Ability to use IT business operating systems.
