Postilion Team Lead required in Sandton

The responsibilities of the position include:

Team

 Providing technical guidance around the Postilion and associated payments network items

 Leading a team that improves general Postilion availability

 Leading a team that improves Postilion performance and throughput

 Administering a transaction switch in a PCI environment

 Configuring and administering a Postilion Office environment for Bank Fee’s, settlement

 Administering a transaction switch in a Highly Available environment

 Administering the HSM (Futurex or Thales)

 Loading of Postilion, operating system and database patches

 Perform standby activities

 Respond to and resolve incidents and problems timeously

 Prevent recurring incidents

 Ensure that correct monitoring levels are in place and actively monitored

 Identify and run proactive projects to improve the overall team

Process Optimisation

 Manage the capacity of the Postilion Team

 Manage the capacity of the Postilion systems

 Manage and implement the correct patches following the appropriate patch management methodologies without placing the organization at risk

 Ensure that all events are effectively monitored, managed and communicated

Documentation

 Keep system documentation up to date and current including all changes

 Update the operational run books for each system

 Capture changes timeously and with the correct level of detail

General

 Liaise with other partners (banks, telco’s etc.) driving incidents until resolution (key is to be proactive reducing the Time to Repair to a minimum)

 Communicating with line manager on a regular basis

 Communicating with users and general business with regards to incidents and problems

 Finding innovative ways to improve the current ways of working

 General understanding of cryptography and security

 General understanding of Electronic Funds Transfer mechanisms

In order to be considered for the position, the following requirements must be met:

 B.Sc Computer Science or relevant B. degree with an IT focus

 Performing a Technical Team Lead function including managing a team

 Running a Postilion Real Time Switch 5 (preferably with a mixture of ATM and POS devices) for › 5 years

 Running Postilion Office for › 3 Years

 Postcard experience would be beneficial in addition to the above
