Communications Specialists

Leading corporate organisation seeks the services of a media and communications manager to join their highly effective team ASAP. BBBEE candidates would be preferred.

Purpose of position:
To develop media and communications strategies on behalf of our client.

Your exp should include and must not just be limited to:

1) Building positive relationships with key media partners
2) Profiling our client as a relevant and respected think tank in SA and internationally
3) Building the clients brand among internal and external stakeholders
4) Ensuring our clients website remains current and interactive
5) Developing and generating internal communications programme
6) Writing press releases, background briefings and statements
7) Building media skills and understanding of media for the client
8) Managing the products and processes such as the database and media monitoring

Qualifications required:

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism/communications
• Honours degree in the one of the above majors (advantageous)
• Extensive experience in media/journalism and credible working relationships with key players in media
• Accomplished writing experience
• At least ten years of relevant journalism/communications management experience in launching products, organising events, media relations, website management and internal communications programmes
