Young Professional-in-Training Opportunity at Transnet Pipelines

Transnet Pipelines is offering a two-year Young Professional-in-Training (YPT) programme in Business Development. The position is based in Durban Central and reports to the Specialist: Youth Development. Applications close on 19 August 2025, and applicants must ensure their submissions are received by HR before the deadline.

Position Purpose
The YPT programme is designed for dynamic and recently qualified graduates. Over 24 months, participants will gain workplace exposure through a structured learning plan, mentorship, and hands-on experience across various business functions.

Key Responsibilities
• Shadow experienced staff to learn day-to-day operations
• Participate in training sessions, meetings, and workshops
• Communicate with customers to understand their needs and provide updates
• Ensure queries are resolved promptly and satisfactorily
• Provide administrative and research support
• Follow work briefs from mentors to produce specific deliverables
• Collaborate on project tasks to meet deadlines and quality standards
• Contribute to project solutions by delivering accurate and useful inputs

Minimum Requirements
• BCom Honours in Marketing, Economics, or Logistics
• 0–1 year work experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• South African citizenship
• Age between 18 and 35 years
