Job Purpose

The Shop Assistant will focus on maximizing sales by delivering outstanding customer service and creating a “WOW” experience for every customer.

Key Responsibilities

The Shop Assistant will be responsible for:

  • Providing excellent customer service and addressing unique shopping needs
  • Advising customers on products, prices, and warranties
  • Demonstrating and explaining product features
  • Executing add-on sales and promotions
  • Maintaining accurate pricing, stock levels, and store displays
  • Planning and implementing promotions on time
  • Participating in stock takes and minimizing stock loss
  • Reporting fast and slow-moving products to management
  • Protecting company assets and minimizing operational expenses
  • Following merchandising and housekeeping standards
  • Undertaking any additional duties as requested by management

Entry Requirements

Candidates must have:

  • Matric certificate
  • Minimum of six months retail experience
  • Reliable transport to work shifts

Shop Assistants are expected to:
