About Eskom and the Role
Eskom is South Africa’s primary electricity supplier, operating across generation, transmission, and distribution. This role falls under the Generation New Business Engineering, Innovation & Localisation department. As a Graduate/Engineer in Training, you will be immersed in software engineering practices while contributing to Eskom’s digital and technological projects. The position provides hands-on experience and development opportunities for aspiring software engineers.
Key Responsibilities
The incumbent will:
- Participate in institutionalized and on-the-job training programs
- Develop and maintain software using programming languages such as Python and C
- Assist in data design and administration to support software applications
- Contribute to software design projects using UML standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support project delivery
