About the Role
Pick n Pay Brackenfell is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cashier to join their team. Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and manage the cash float accurately and responsibly
• Operate the till and scanner efficiently, ensuring speedy checkout for customers
• Receive and process all forms of payment, including cash, card, and vouchers
• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards in the cashier area and store
• Adhere to store security procedures and prevent wastage, shrinkage, or damage
• Operate and clean equipment according to store standards
• Interact with customers courteously, respond to queries, and provide assistance as needed
• Follow all store procedures and execution instructions consistently
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have a Grade 12 certificate and basic numeracy skills. Being computer literate is advantageous. Strong communication skills in English are essential, along with the ability to work flexibly and ethically. Candidates must reside close to the store to ensure reliability and punctuality. Time management, attention to detail, and customer orientation are critical traits for success in this role.
