As a Production Assistant, you will be responsible for preparing and producing products according to company specifications while ensuring food safety, hygiene and operational standards are maintained at all times. You will also assist customers, operate production equipment safely, monitor product quality and help ensure that the department consistently delivers fresh, high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, manufacture and wrap products according to company specifications and production targets.
• Produce various meat products including sausage, mince and other fresh products.
• Price random weight and loose-selling items accurately.
• Check product labels and ensure correct pricing.
• Perform regular quality checks on products.
• Rotate stock correctly and remove damaged or expired products.
• Prevent wastage, shrinkage and product damage.
• Monitor product temperatures and maintain the cold chain.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, housekeeping and workplace safety.
• Follow all security procedures and company policies.
• Operate and clean production equipment according to company standards.
• Assist customers professionally and provide product advice when required.
• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Promote products and provide excellent customer service.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, management, customers and suppliers.
• Perform additional duties as assigned and work across different stores when required.
