PRIME SELECT:Trade Marketing Executive Opportunity

  • Conceptualise an annual plan and ensure effective execution and implementation of the trade marketing strategy.
  • Documentation of agency briefs for each advertising requirement to ensure required concept, creative and promotional plans are in place
  • Budget management for each project within plan.
  • Regular input to events, PR and programming activity w.r.t trade interactions to maximise brand
  • ROI and evaluation before and after marketing campaigns
  • Sources and assess lucrative opportunities to enhance trade market penetration.
  • Assisting in maintaining the integrity of the brand, conduct internal brand audits w.r.t all sales and (trade) client documentation
  • Ensures effective execution and implementation of the Product Life Cycle timeline to ensure that sales cycles are satisfied
  • Organise, coordinate and manage product development sessions between programming, marketing and sales
  • Price with individual generic product for direct
  • Monitor, evaluate and report on all product categories.
  • Product training and communication to Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg sales team
  • Product training and communication to trade market with supporting evidence
  • Regular product communication to trade market with supporting evidence
  • Ensure the sales team is kept abreast of brand and trade advertising initiatives and/ or opportunities
  • Provide up to date statistical information on our listenership and comprehensive competitor analysis.
  • Maintains and cultivates relationships with suppliers and key external trade marketing stakeholders.
  • Regular communication to sales, consumer marketing, events and programming to ensure all stakeholders are abreast of trade advertising initiatives and or opportunities
  • Generation of monthly trade marketing reports
  • Documentation of trade material e.g. presentations, mailers, invites etc for sales engagements
  • Quarterly compilation of trade newsletters
  • Prepares all necessary administration with regards to trade marketing projects.
  • Liaising with finance department – processing PO’s and matching invoices
  • Regular updates on competitor activity
  • Management of customer database to ensure that its current and relevant
  • Trade Exchanges managed and implemented as per process.
  • Compiling data to assist in sales pitches using Telmar and Nielsen

 

Requirements

Tertiary Marketing qualification, i.e. B.degree, IMM or equivalent.
Minimum three years’ trade marketing experience in the media industry.
Must have worked for a media owner (radio, television, magazine, newspaper, outdoor, etc.)
Computer literate: MS environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Must have a working knowledge of Telmar and Nielsen
Willing to work extended hours and weekends when necessary.
Valid driver’s licence and own transport.
Proven and stable track record.

Previous experience of working at an operational level
Previous experience of writing marketing proposals
Ability to think and operate at a strategic level within the parameters of the sales and marketing strategy. Experience in client relationship management. Detailed knowledge of campaign briefing, development, executions and evaluation. Understanding of budgets.
