ABSOLUTE PETS:Area Manager: Speciality Pet Retail Opportunity
Absolute Pets is a growing speciality pet retailer with 26 stores located across Cape Town and Gauteng.
We are looking for seasoned retailers to become Area Managers in both Gauteng and Cape Town. The successful candidates will successfully lead and manage the day to day operations of approximately seven stores and assume responsibility for the financial performance of his / her stores.
The role includes inter alia pro-actively managing the financial performance of stores, HR related issues (hiring, performance management and in-service training), stock management and control, daily store operations, banking, customer liaisons, store and staff inspections, store administration and marketing.
Successful candidates will have a proven track record in retail, be equipped to be able to work without constant supervision, be passionate about providing customers with outstanding customer service and be able to treat the business as if it were their own.
Requirements
- extensive retail management experience across multiple stores
- passionate about retail excellence
- exceptional people skills
- highly numerate and financially literate
- must be able to communicate extremely well
- code 08 driving license
- willingness to travel extensively across Gauteng/Cape Town
- ability to work long hours including weekends and public holidays

- love of animals (desirable)
- impeccably honest
