Minimum Requirements…
- General Nursing Diploma/Degree
- Certificate / Diploma in Occupational Health Nursing
- Certificate in Spirometry and Audiometry
- Certificate in Dispensing
- Current Registration with the South African Nursing Council
- Current Registration with South African Society for Occupational Health Nurses
- Code B Driver’s License
- Computer literacy (Word & Excel)
- Certificate in Physical (Evaluation) Assessment / Primary Health Nursing
- At least 3 years in an Occupational Health environment
Job Specification…
- Provide a professional occupational health and primary health care service in the operation, within a legal, ethical framework, to ensure a healthy, productive workforce;
- Eliminate or control of occupational and environmental hazards by continuous identification, assessment and the implementation of preventative/corrective actions
- Identify and management of adverse health effects arising from workplace conditions (including management of work-related injuries and illness, rehabilitation, reintegration and compensation where applicable).
- Educate and train employees in accordance with the risks to which they may be exposed, and the inherent requirements of the positions to which they are assigned
