HIGHBURY SAFIKA MEDIA:Digital Editorial Intern

HSM is looking for an editorial intern to join the Wedding-Album.com team, as well as assist the CapeTownEtc.com team.

We need you to:
Be passionate about the digital field.
Have an interest in style, photography, beauty, food, planning and travel as pertaining to the wedding industry.
Love Cape Town and be up to date on all its events and places to go.
Enjoy daily exposure to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Have a good eye for constructing beautiful, image-driven posts that will stand out in the competitive wedding market.
Have strong writing skills and be able to make copy come alive for a time-poor online reader.
Be able to self-edit.
Have a basic knowledge of WordPress.
Understand SEO and writing for ranking.
Preferably have your own transport.
Have a relevant degree or diploma in journalism.

The successful candidate will assist the editorial team with:
Posting daily blog content on both sites.
Keeping the CTE.com events listings up to date.
Growing our social media following by posting interesting, share-worthy content that promotes discussion as well as driving traffic to the sites.
Brainstorming upcoming content for both sites.
Innovating ways to improve the design and user experience of the sites.
