Job description
The purpose of this role is to lead the development and implementation of an integrated country HR strategy that partners with the business to identify and achieve strategic business goals. The role will lead the strategic development of the HR function to build our organisational capability for tomorrow’s business needs (leveraging the expert network in HR as needed) by creating a high-performance culture of continuous improvement. The role will also provide key co-ordination across HR leads in the wider SSA cluster to drive any people risk, compliance, and audit actions.
Key Accountabilities include (across all SSA markets):
- Overall HR strategy
- Senior business relationships
- Talent and resource strategy and management
- Business management
- Lead and develop the HR function
- Support and enable the transition to a new business model for HR focusing on enablement of shared services and shift in ways of working
- Enabling and delivery of the vision and values, employee engagement and diversity and inclusion agenda
- Specific SA Duties include: People risk & compliance management; DEI; BBBEE as well as ad hoc co-ordination as required across cluster HR leads on behalf of requests by EMEA Chief People Officer or SSA CEO
Requirements
- A strong track record of leading across the full spectrum of HR activities including talent, performance development, change management and reward
- Experience in leading HR teams and partnering with regional CoEs to achieve high value business outcomes
- An ability to drive the strategic HR agenda and partner with senior leaders
- Experience in navigating and driving strategic initiatives in a highly complex matrix organisation
- A proven ability to build effective senior level relationships and to be a partner, advisor, and confidant
- Excellent influencer who can adjust their approach to credibly influence change in the business
- A proven strong business and commercial acumen
- Strong change and transformation experience
- Strong employment law knowledge and an ability to identify, assess and advise on risks to the company
- Strong experience with shared services, regional COE, BPO model
