Job Overview
The Retail Shop Assistant will support the branch in sales and merchandising while providing excellent customer service. The role focuses on learning about tools, machinery, and hardware products while contributing to the store’s daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting the right tools and machinery products.
- Support sales through effective merchandising and stock management.
- Perform stock taking, stock control, and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Maintain the store environment to high standards of cleanliness and organization.
- Apply general retail branch procedures and assist in daily store operations.
- Continuously learn about products, trends, and tools to enhance customer support.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Senior Certificate (Matric) is the minimum requirement.
- Previous exposure to retail sales, customer service, or merchandising is preferred.
- Knowledge of DIY tools or hardware is an advantage.
