Pick n Pay is looking for a dedicated Service Area Assistant for its Wonderpark store in Gauteng. Job Overview

The Service Area Assistant in Butchery prepares, wraps, and merchandises products according to company standards. The role requires attention to hygiene, safe working practices, and maintaining product quality to ensure an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and wrap butchery products according to specifications and hygiene standards.
• Stack, store, and merchandise products safely and neatly.
• Correctly price loose items and verify labels for accuracy.
• Check product quality, rotate stock, and remove expired items to prevent wastage.
• Maintain cold chain standards and monitor equipment temperatures.
• Operate and clean equipment according to company procedures.
• Promote products to customers, handle inquiries, and provide courteous service.
• Process customer orders following established procedures.
• Follow security procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including transfers between stores if required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Grade 12 (Matric) required.
• Butchery experience is advantageous.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

• Strong customer service focus with a calm and patient approach.
• Conscientious and detail-oriented, following procedures accurately.
• Basic numeracy and ability to follow process instructions.
