What is the YES Youth Programme?

The Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative is a collaborative effort between government and the private sector aimed at providing unemployed youth with quality work experience. Who Can Apply?

This 12-month fixed-term opportunity is designed specifically for young, enthusiastic individuals who meet the following criteria:

• Aged between 18 and 28 years old
• Minimum education: Grade 10 (Matric preferred)
• Available and willing to commit to a 12-month contract
• Not currently studying full-time between April 2023 – March 2024
• Not previously employed permanently for over a year with a single employer
• Not previously enrolled in any YES programme
• Willing to travel or relocate at your own expense, if necessary
• Preference given to applicants from designated groups under the Employment Equity Act
