Our client is a top advertising agency, that is in a very exciting growth development phase. Although they are locally based they are active internationally.
Their design arm is currently looking for an amazing packaging designer to work closely with a highly capable team. You’ll be working in one of their new sectors, which focuses on top quality design of award wining standards.
Your responsibilities:
– Produce designs for clients for international and national brands ensuring that the design brief is accurately interpreted and that the design is of the standard and creativity required by the client.
– Work closely within your team to develop top quality packaging designs.
– Design and craft concepts into original, relevant and impactful communications; follow through to the completion of the job whilst maintaining explicit attention to detail and adhering to project timelines.
– Scamp, sketch and storyboard ideas for approval from the creative group heads and client.
– Keep up-to-date with the latest creative trends from as many sources as possible, and share this information to others in the agency.
– Regularly create proactive work that helps grow existing clients and win new accounts.
Requirements
Your experience/skill set:
– Minimum of three to five years’ experience as a designer.
– Exposure to and knowledge of Packaging Design is ideal.
– Tertiary qualification in Art Direction, Design, Packaging/Art Theory (or similar).
– Solid design skills and a portfolio that demonstrates this.
– Must be self-managed and able to complete projects with limited supervision.
– Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
– Ability to multitask and obtains the flexibility to work across more than one brand.
– Mac proficiency (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
– Integrity, energy and creativity.
– Self-disciplined with excellent attention to detail
